Description of the race

Challenge your strength: participate in the Lugano - Monte Brè Cronoscalata!
On 27 April 2025, get ready to experience a unique emotion on two wheels! The Cronoscalata Lugano - Monte Brè, which is part of the Lugano Bike Emotions event, is the perfect race for those who want to measure their strength, endurance and determination.
 

Give it your all on a legendary route:
- Start: Piazza Manzoni, Lugano lakefront.
- Finish: Monte Brè village, with spectacular views that repay every pedal stroke.
- Distance: 9.54 km.
- Height difference: 525 m.
It will not only be a challenge against the stopwatch, but also a unique experience between sport and breathtaking scenery, on roads open to traffic. Prudence and respect for the highway code are essential to ensure a safe and unforgettable event.
 

Who can participate?
The time trial is open to everyone, from amateur to professional cyclists. If you are at least 16 years old, have a UCI-compliant muscular road bike and are willing to put yourself to the test, this is your race!
- Eligible categories: U17, U19, U23, Elite, Amateur (divided by age group) and Vintage.
- Participation fee: CHF 45.00 (includes race package, bib, medical assistance and refreshments at the finish).

One race, a thousand emotions:
With individual starts every 15 seconds, your time will be triggered after the first 3.8 km not timed, at the San Siro roundabout (Viganello). From there the real challenge begins: the timed section to the finish line, to prove your worth and conquer the summit! 
In the afternoon, at the Expo village in Piazza Manzoni, we will celebrate the first three absolute and category winners. Don't miss this festive moment, where every effort will be rewarded.
 

Maximum safety for an authentic challenge:
The race will take place on roads open to traffic, making the experience even more enthralling. It is compulsory to wear an approved helmet and follow the highway code, ensuring maximum respect for oneself, other participants and road users.
