During the year, the City of Lugano Police recovers a large number of bicycles lost or abandoned on public land.
Of these, only a small part is claimed and returned to their rightful owners.

Considering the great success achieved by the last edition of the public auction - held in May 2022 - the City Police of Lugano, in collaboration with the organizing committee of Lugano Bike Emotions, has decided to propose again on Friday 19 May 2023 from 13.00 in Piazza Riforma the auction of cycles that have reached the end of storage at the deposit of found objects.

All proceeds from the sale will be donated to various charities based in the Lugano area, while any unsold bicycles will be donated to Don Frank's Dédomé association.
